Product Description 3M Stikit Low Profile Disc Pad provides secure attachment for a 3M Stikit Disc (sold separately) on a random orbital sander or other rotary tool. This lightweight, shock-resistant backup pad is constructed of firm density foam for sanding flat surfaces, and has a tapered edge for applications where some flexibility is needed. From the Manufacturer The 3M™ Stikit™ Low Profile Disc Pad 20351 provides secure attachment for a 3M™ Stikit™ Disc (sold separately) on a random orbital sander or other rotary tool. This lightweight, shock-resistant backup pad is constructed of 3/8" firm density foam for sanding flat surfaces, and has a 30 degree tapered edge for applications where some flexibility is needed. The 30 degree edge creates a slightly less aggressive cut than a disc pad with a 15 degree tapered edge. The blue vinyl face securely holds a Stikit disc and allows easy removal with no leftover residue, for convenient disc changes between applications. The disc pad has 5/16-24 external threads compatible with a random orbital sander or other tool with 5/16-24 internal threads. Max OPM and RPM are 15,000. The 3M Stikit system was designed for convenient disc changes between grades or applications. Stikit discs come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so that attaching them to the disc pad is as simple as pressing on a sticker, yet they remove cleanly from a Stikit disc pad. Stikit discs tend to provide a more aggressive cut than do 3M™ Hookit™ products.
